Xavier Becerra and Loretta Sanchez Support Deportations?

Why Won't Xavier Becerra and Loretta Sanchez Come Out Against Deportations?!

Following the April 5th National Day of Action Against Deportations that saw over 80 cities nationwide to urge Presidential action to stop deportations, immigrant youth from California traveled to D.C. to bring the message of 2 Million Too Many to Representatives Xavier Becerra (D-CA) and Loretta Sanchez (D-CA), who have yet to condemn the President’s massive deportation programs and unwillingness to expand Deferred Action for all. Even after immigrant youth held a sit ins, neither congressperson heard their plea to join them in pushing Obama to stop deportations.

We will continue adding pressure, by letting the community know that these elected officials have failed us as allies. They have done so by completely disregarding the fact that a huge portion of deportation cases come out of their districts. LA County deports more people than Maricopa County in Arizona! That’s why we’re demanding that they meet the following.

1. More actively serve to stop the cases of constituents in deportation proceedings

2. Come out against deportations, and push the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to do the same

3. Publicly call on the President to expand deferred action for all and stop all deportations immediately

Make a call to Xavier Becerra and Loretta Sanchez and tell them #NOT1MORE deportation!
